“We had carpet on our stairs. It is open stair case. No risers. We were researching many options, and found this tread cover online. We bought one and tried it. It worked well. We bought the rest and completed our two sets of staircases. Very nice.”

“Worked perfectly for our stairs. Love the overhang at the front. Was able to add our own stain to match the other wood tones. Would definitely buy these again.”

“Was worried ordering these online. But extremely pleased with quality and finish.
Wished they would have been packaged better to protect them in transit but as it turns out only one had damage on an end that will be cut off anyway.
Would not hesitate to order again.

“After several years of looking for a simple solution to refinish my stairs that was high quality, this one was perfect.

These stairs were well over 50 years old and had carpeting on them. Every solution that seemed to present itself required cutting off the existing nose tread (straight forwards but not quick). Also, with a number of products out there, the wood is a veneer over cheap wood.

Not these stair treads. They were perfect in every way. First of all the length fits nicely over the standard 9 1/2″ stair tread size AND the extra long nose overhang means that you do NOT have to cut off the existing treat but can just layer this on top.

So, it was a simple process to mitre saw them to size and then adhere them with the strongest construction adhesive I could find. I finished it up by using a few 2″ brad finishing nails and tapping them down a bit to countersink them below the wood surface. The end results is rock solid and look fabulous.
